Local Building Inspector
The Town of Berlin is seeking qualified applicants for the new position of Local Building Inspector to take office as soon as possible. The FY19 rate of pay will be with the Grade X range ($30.48 to $38.96, DOQ&E).
The job is anticipated to be unbenefited at less than 20 hours/week until July 1, 2019 when the job will become benefited and 40 hours/week at FY20 Grade X rate TBD ($31.17 to $39.84 and pending Annual Town Meeting funding approval). The weekly hours required in fiscal years thereafter will be reviewed on an annual basis in terms of the Town’s inspectional needs.

Part-Time Library Assistant, Berlin Public Library
The Berlin Public Library seeks a part-time library assistant to join the circulation services staff. The position includes direct service to library patrons and processing of materials for circulation and other duties as assigned. Successful candidates will thrive in a service-centered environment; administer policies and procedures; be detail-oriented while working with frequent interruptions; enjoy people; and love learning new things.
Schedule: Ten hours/week: Tuesday 3:30-6:30, Wednesday 11:00 -3:00, and Thursday 3:30-6:30 also one Saturday each month 10:00-1:00.
BA/BS preferred. ILS experience; Evergreen a plus.

Transfer Station Attendant
The Town of Berlin is looking for an ad hoc part-time Transfer Station Attendant. Will train qualified applicants. Non-benefited, 8 – 16 hours per month position. POSITION FILLED: Assistant Treasurer
The Town of Berlin seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Treasurer.

POSITION FILLED: Library Page
The Town of Berlin Library is currently accepting applications for the position of Library Page at the Berlin Public Library. The position is for 2-6 hours per week during Library hours. The starting salary is $11.00/HR.
The work includes shelving of library materials, shelf maintenance, and performing clerical tasks. Also may occasionally provide simple directions to patrons. Pages may be asked to perform simple physical tasks to support library programs or procedures. The work is performed under direct supervision and requires no prior knowledge of library procedures. May be asked to perform simple circulation desk duties. Does related work as required or requested.
