Business Certificates
Any person conducting a business under a name other than his/her own which is not incorporated in the State of Massachusetts, or if incorporated and uses a name different from the incorporated name, is required by State law to file a business certificate with the Town Clerk. The certificate is valid for four years, the fee is $25.00 and a termination or amendment is $10.00 (with a notice to the Assessors and Building Inspector). Please make checks payable to "Town of Berlin" and note on the memo portion of the check that you are paying for a "Business Certificate".
