FRESH START

The Berlin Board of Health is pleased to inform our residents that we are opening our Transfer Station's (TS) take it or leave it (TILI) building to the non profit Fresh Start Furniture Bank (16 Brent Drive, Hudson).  Our intent is two fold. First, is to offer our residents a convenient location to drop off gently used furniture that is no longer wanted, and, secondly, have it become a donation that goes to an organization that helps needy families get resettled. 

All furniture and house ware items brought to the TILI may be re-purposed by Berlin (only) residents.  

Items brought to the TILI must be complete with no torn or soiled upholstery, no large couches or over sized chairs (see Fresh Start website for more information).

All items brought to the TILI must be viewed by a volunteer for suitability.  No "drop and runs" please.  Keep in mind our volunteers are learning "Fresh Start needs and criteria" so please be patient.

Fresh Start personnel will come periodically to "shop" for their client's needs.

Small items can be brought to the TILI any day it is open, larger pieces on Saturday.
