Hello, summer! Come down and celebrate the season by making and decorating your own paper popsicle.

To complement our summer reading program, we will be reading a different book together each month. Please plan for least one week between signing up and the book arriving at the library. Find more information about the books we will be reading here.

Parents’ Choice Award winner and former Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood guest Motoko regales families (ages 5 & up) with delightful folktales from her native Japan, combined with hands-on origami activities. Motoko’s step-by-step instructions make the ancient Japanese art fun and accessible.

Teens (13-18) can use puffy paint and fabric markers to decorate a canvas tote (provided) and/or bring along some items (t-shirts, socks, sweaters) to tie dye!

Entitled Generations of Fun!, this program will involve the audience in a variety of cultural traditions. Hear how stars came to be in the sky, how foam came to be in the ocean, and be prepared to sing, move and clap your hands.
