The Berlin Select Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 25, 2022, starting at 7:30 p.m., during the Board’s regularly-scheduled business meeting to hear a petition filed for a pole and wires located within the public Right of Way (ROW) as follows:

Joint National Grid/Verizon – New JO Pole P18, South Street

In its petition dated March 15, 2022, and received April 11, 2022, Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid and Verizon New England, Inc. have jointly petitioned the Select Board and requested permission to locate poles, wires, fixtures, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, along and across the following public way:

South St - National Grid to install 1 JO (jointly-owned) Pole on South St beginning at a point approximately 10’ feet east of the centerline of the intersection of South St. Install a new riser pole (P18) for underground service for new residential development.   Location approximately as shown on the plan attached titled “Town of Berlin Petition 76 South St Berlin, MA” and numbered W/R #30440164.
