This pole hearing, originally requested by NGRID, has been withdrawn by the company.

Therefore this hearing will not be proceeding.

Just as a point of reference, the hearing message that was earlier posted is still intact here, but again this hearing is not taking place.

The Berlin Select Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, starting at 7:00 p.m., during the Board’s regularly-scheduled business meeting to hear a petition filed for a pole and wires located within the public Right of Way (ROW) as follows:

In its petition dated & received October 14, 2022, Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid has petitioned the Berlin, MA Select Board for permission to locate poles, wires, and fixtures, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, along and across the following public way:

At 100 River Road West - National Grid is to install 1 Solely-Owned (SO) Pole on River Rd West beginning at a point approximately 0' feet northeast of the centerline of the intersection of South St Rotary and continuing approximately 1050' feet in a northeast direction. Install 1 SO Pole # 7-1 approximately 1050' northeast of South St Rotary.   This pole is necessary to provide service at 100 River Road West.  Location approximately as shown on the plan attached.
