Spring 2022 RABIES IMMUNIZATION CLINIC SCHEDULE
From the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, Ayer, MA
ALL DOGS AND CATS over six (6) months of age MUST be immunized against rabies (Massachusetts General Law Chapter 140, Section 145B).
Immediate action is required if your dog or cat is over six (6) months of age and:
● Not previously immunized, or
● For older dogs and cats, any animal that was last issued a “green bell” shaped local rabies tag (meaning it was issued in 2019).
Your veterinarian will inform you of the effective vaccination status of your dog/cat AND the effective duration of that vaccination.
There are six (6) local rabies clinics scheduled for any/all residents of the Nashoba member towns this Spring 2022.
- The charge is $20.00/immunization, with payment to be made directly to the veterinarian assigned to the respective clinics.
- Cats must be brought in cages or closed boxes during the last half of any clinic.
- The tag for 2022 will be orange and oval.
