The Berlin Rescue Squad ambulance is a Class I, BLS Unit purchased in 2000.  The chassis is a Ford E450.  It meets or exceeds all Federal and State licensing requirements for Class I type units.  It is air conditioned for patient safety and comfort.  It has built-in oxygen, lighting, and medical monitoring facilities.  It carries on-board all required medical supplies to meet the needs of any medical emergency, including an Automated External Defibrillators (AED).  A Satellite Navigation System (GPS) is available on board the ambulance to insure timely arrival at emergency scenes, particularly when responding to mutual aid calls to neighboring towns.
