The Board of Health meets regularly throughout the year, ably assisted by the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health agent, William Brookings.
Nashoba Associated Boards of Health – Environmental Division
The Environmental Division of the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health handles the daily public health work for the fifteen member communities of the Association including the Town of Berlin.
The Environmental Division enforces State Sanitary and Environmental Codes, Massachusetts General Laws (housing, sewage disposal systems, restaurants, public pools, bathing beaches, rabies, etc.) and local regulations (wells, rubbish haulers, etc.).
The staff of this Division work directly with the Boards of Health they serve, and with the general public to insure public and environmental health concerns are addressed. Additionally the staff is available in the Town Hall of member communities and at the office in Ayer to assist the public with questions or concerns they may have.
Berlin’s Health Agent William Brookings has office hours at the Berlin Town Offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-9 a.m. Bill can best be reached by phone at the Ayer office (978-772-3335 ext. 304)

Please continue to be conscientious about recycling in your daily lives. The recyclables markets have been stable as more products are produced from recyclable materials; some of our recyclables provide a small but steady revenue stream. Every item that is diverted from the trash stream into the recyclable stream saves the town money, and is a simple, good thing that everyone can do to make the environment better.
