eBooks, Audiobooks, and Videos

Click on the icons below to browse or search for electronic materials you can use or borrow using the number (barcode) on the back of your library card.

Are you looking for help creating an email account, searching the library’s databases, or downloading free e-books or audiobooks from the Digital Catalog? A librarian will be available for drop-in assistance with your technology questions on Saturdays from 11 a.m. -1p.m.in the library. Please bring your library card and your e-reader or other device, plus any cables you use to connect the device to a computer. You can check out one of our library’s e-readers for a test drive.

The library is now lending e-readers. We have two Google Nexus 7 readers available for a two week checkout. The e-readers will also be available for in-library “test drives” with assistance from the staff. Patrons borrowing the readers will be required to sign a borrower agreement in case the devices are lost or damaged. Patrons will also need access to WiFi to use the readers.

Access Boston Public Library’s databases!

In addition to these databases, Massachusetts residents are eligible to use resources from the Boston Public Library. If you do not already have a BPL library card you can apply for an eCard. eCards expire after 3 years unless they are upgraded to standard BPL cards.

Commonwealth eBook Collections

Commonwealth eBook CollectionsWelcome to the Commonwealth eBook Collections. Here, Massachusetts residents can access digital content for free. The easiest way to find eBooks and other online resources is to submit a search using the above search box. Once you do so, you will see search results that include resources from all of the vendors that we are currently partnering with: Axis360 and Biblioboard. When you find the item you are looking for, simply click to download. Depending on the device you are using you may be required to download an app or other reader. You will also need your library card number and PIN.
