From Northbrook Village I:   Berlin Retirement Homes is a not-for-profit organization which operates a forty (40) unit low income elderly and disabled housing facility. This Project is operated under Section 515 and Section 8 of the National Housing Act and regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (RD) with respect to rental charges and operating methods.

Northbrook Village II - 135 R Pleasant Street

 

From Northbrook Village II:   Montachusetts Home Care Corporation (MHCC) is a not-for-profit organization that operates a 39-unit affordable senior rental housing facility in Berlin called Northbrook Village II. The project, a 130 square-foot three-story building, is affordable to households earning no more than 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).  Created in 1974, MHCC assists elders and disabled people to remain safely in their homes by providing in-home and community-based services as an alternative to nursing home placement. Located in Leominster, MHCC serves more than 2,700 people every month.
