A Message from the Superintendent

If you click on Long Range Strategic Goals you will see our newly adopted Strategic Plan for improving the Berlin-Boylston Public Schools. This plan is the culmination of collaborative analysis and work by a strategic planning committee consisting of twenty-nine members including teachers, administrators, parents, school committee members, town officials, and community leaders from Berlin and Boylston.

Our purposes in working together to develop and monitor this plan are to establish a common purpose, a common sense of direction, as well as mutually agreed upon priorities for change and a blueprint for action. This plan is based on an analysis of our schools' strengths and weaknesses as will as the opportunities and threats resulting from emerging trends and changing conditions outside of our districts.

While our schools are structured as three separate school districts, we will work together to accomplish our strategic improvement goals. This Strategic Plan defines our joint mission, vision, guiding beliefs, goals and objectives that will guide the work of the Berlin-Boylston Public Schools for the next three years. Action plans for each objective have also been developed.

The Strategic Planning Committee will monitor, evaluate and report the progress that we make each year in achieving our goals. I would like to encourage members of our communities to assist us in the work that lies ahead. Together we can achieve the excellence for which we are striving.
